Problem with phone?

I have Tmobile put the SIM card in the tray thing put the battery back and put the cover back.

I%26#39;ve done this a million times and every time it says "INSERT SIM" and i can%26#39;t do anything.

The copper part or gold part is facing downwards.

I have no clue why it won%26#39;t work!

I really need to access my contacts and It won%26#39;t work.

Ugh!

Answer:

this sometimes happen after you accidentally drop your phone. you may want to have it checked by a phone tech for every time you force it to function properly, your just increasing the possibility of repairablennesss.

OR, SIM cards come with a sawed off corner which was a design to guide the user as to which end fits where. Look behind, beside or below the SIM slot for any indication where the sawed off corner should fit. I hope this helps. Gud Luck..

Follow the link below. A Picture should show you how to insert it properly. dont know If that%26#39;s the case, then either your sim card has failed, or the sim card reader on the phone has failed. Take it to a T-Mobile store to see if they can check to see if it is the sim card or the sim card reader. Hello *IconL2!/Vipers!*,

One thing you might try is to take out the SIM card and very gently clean the copper contacts with a pencil eraser. Wipe with a soft dry rag and try again. That will cure a faulty connection caused by oxidation on the contacts.

Good Luck,

Norm you%26#39;re having failure in the sim card or the phone reading the card..take it in to a dealer and have them check it out easy way take it to t mobil store
