nokia 7373. its a good phone. if you don%26#39;t need wifi or infrared. coz i guess it has everything besides these 2 features. bluetooth %26 expandable memory. along wit camera. its a good decision to buy the phone. looks real sexy. ;)

Hi i have the nokia 8800 with the BL-5X battery, i find it does not last that long, is there any alternative long lasting ones or longer lasting ones. I have heard the BP-6X is meant to improve it but dont want to spend the money and find out it doesnt. Anyone know any links to long lasting batteries or the model numbers of any?

I purchased a nokia 5300 xpressmusic and it should be here in a few days. I currently own a nokia 6101 and i was wondering if i could use the battery in that as a spare. They have the same body but i%26#39;m just not sure if it will work. I believe the nokia 6101 battery is 720 mAh and the xpressmusic one is 760 mAh. Do you think i could use my old battery in my xpressmusic?
Try it. If it fits then it will be OK. Nokia would not design a battery that would fit in another phone but cause damage.
The difference in mAh would mean that the 6101 battery won%26#39;t last quite as long (94% as long as the 5300)

The headset will be listed under %26#39;Paired Devices%26#39; on your brothers phone in the bluetooth option. Delete the pairing from there. You should then be able to pair the your phone

It is Wireless and i think its got like a wireless connection. So on your phone when you go to setting go under connecections it should say bluetooth if u press that it will come up with handsfree, devise history, and setup i think setup and handsfree would probly help you.

Just bought a Nokia N 95 yesterday. Tried using the GPS system on it, but it doesn%26#39;t appear to picking up a signal. I know a lot of Ireland isn%26#39;t mapped, thinking that may be the problem.

You can do it and it sounds mad but this is the official fix
you need to stand outside with a clear line of site to the sky with the arial up for about 20mins on the first setup of the GPS its a phone although smart its used ofr calling and talking. if u want to use gps u have to subscribe for it, buy maps and pay for updates. i think u better buy a gps (one that has only one function and that is to give directions) and t will be cheaper for you.
and before you post another question, the barcode thing on nokia n95 also does not work as good (if u get it to work)

Nokia N 70 gets hanged whenever i switch my set on it takes a long time to get it active or on properly...
report this problem to www.nokia.com/nseries This might be due to the Memory Card. My friend is using 1GB card with N70 and faces the same problem. It happens when you put something on the card outside the phone using some sort of card reader. Try some other transfer method like bluetooth or data cable.
If that doesn%26#39;t solve your problem. Then your firmware may be out of date. You need to update it. Firmware can also be found on Nokia site but you should ask but better ask your customer support for firmware update. So, your warranty remain valid. Oh, silly! There%26#39;s nothing wrong with your N70! Believe me, my dad owns one and also exhibits the same behavior. It%26#39;s just normal for Nokia phones that runs on the Symbian 60 OS. Even my mom%26#39;s old Nokia 3650 "hangs" for a while. Maybe it is because of your memory card. i had experienced a somewhat similar problem in my N73. maybe your Card may be filled or you should have put it into some things like a card reader. try to get your phone connected to PC via data cable, then copy all the needed files into your PC. then try to switch on the phone properly, go to tools and select memory, then format the memory card. after that get the phone connected to your PC and then download all the files you need to your memory card.

my screen for my phone has gone pixelated and weird. i dont know what happened all i did was i put it in my pocket the next time i took it out it was like this. i have tryed calling it to see if it has some functionality but it went straight to my answer phone. i have connected it to my computer to try and reset factory defaults and if possible backup my contacts. but for some reason the computer wont recognise it. this is intesly frustrating as i have tried to call nokia but they are closed for the weekend and i do have people to talk to and places to fo.

I am porting my cell number from Verizon to Helio. I am aware of the time it can take but the rep at the store told me that when my old phone stopped working my new one would work. Well my old phone stopped working and my new phone still does not work. My Verizon account has been cancelled and now I have no phone. Which one is better? I saw the Cnet review, Atom Exec is rated 9.3 and being chosen as Editor as well as user best choice. Where as Atom life is rated 8.5 and i can see that it has more features and memory than Exec. Really need good advice on this.
Get Atom Life.. it has better specs and newer software (Windows Mobile 6).
Atom Exec is an older model with Windows Mobile 5 (lousier specs and older software).
Forget about the rating, Atom Exec is rated 9.3 at the time when Atom Life is not out yet.

Does anyone know how to disable texts from the provider itself? Every time I end a call or send a text I get a text informing me of my balance, and if a text is 3 pages this means 3 balance alerts. Apart from that there%26#39;s the usual spam about tariff deals etc.
I%26#39;m not too sure of how to get rid of the balance alerts, but you can get rid of the texts telling you of the deals they have, all you have to do is the next time you get a text from them reply to their number "stop".

That is a bad problem, many times it happnes that when we are upgrading the firmware online it hangs or stops and crashes in the middle of the update dut to us or else.

I spilt some WD40 oil on my samsung e900. Some of the oil has got onto the lcd screen, the screen still works and i can see the images ok, apart from a water/oil mark down one side. Is there any other way (apart from having to buy a new screen) for me to get the marks out?

Any cell phone repair shop, they generally have lots of extras laying around. Problem is they are pretty up on cell phones and they sell phones at high prices to make a profit. So the higher end phones will be more expensive but the lower end phones will be fairly inexpensive (supply and demand) overall chances are slim you will find something with an mp3 under $100 but its worth a shot, plus you might be able to talk them down in price a bit. Also be careful, ask about there return policy! If your not happy, you probably won%26#39;t be able to get a refund, ask specific questions make sure it works on your carrier, make sure if it has an mp3 player that it also has expandable memory, because an mp3 playing phone is pretty useless if it only holds 3 songs at a time... tesco seem to have a big choice now and I heard asda were entering into mobile selling but haven%26#39;t been to one of those stores for a while

Alltel is absolutely, without a doubt, the worst wireless carrier I have ever had the displeasure of using. I have had more dropped calls with Alltel in 6 months than I had with Cingular in 5 years. It would be hard for Verizon to suck as bad as Alltel. Take it for what it%26#39;s worth. I LOVE my alltel service. I seem to get reception everywhere, except for very few places. Verizon offers a lot too, and may have even more coverage, but I had Verizon wireless broadband and the reception sucked on it. ohh no verizon is wayyyyy better the alltel. However if you take a phone from one network to another you will need to purchase an un-lock code off the internet. Don%26#39;t go on someone just saying this one or that is better take a look at those service maps. i think you have to use t mobile Well, the bad news is, no - you cannot go to Cingular, or VZW, etc... However, you can get a data cable for your phone, and attach it to your PC... Then you can add them for free, in most cases... Find your phone model number and do a search in Buy.com or as a last resort - ebay.

You will probably have to go to either a cingular store or that wal-mart and refill the mintutes there. The only cost should be the new minutes. If you go to a cingular store however, they might switch you to their store%26#39;s system rather then whatever wal-mart had set up for you.

I have a Verizon LG... you can%26#39;t get songs from websites cause Verizon%26#39;s stupid like that, but you can record it with the recording thing on your phone, then text it to yourself and save as a ringtone. It worked with my LG VX8500 (chocolate) so I don%26#39;t know how much alike yours is, it should work. It could be possible that Verizon doesn%26#39;t carry or even have that band/song. I use Sprint, and theres some bands and artists that they don%26#39;t have that I want. try zedge.net they have all the ringtones or try limewire.

First of all, you have to know if the phone supports any of the mobile frequency bands being used in Sri Lanka.
Secondly, you have to make sure the phone is unlocked or be able to be unlocked from a carrier. Basically, if you buy a phone locked to Cingular, it will only be able to use SIM cards that can access the Cingular network in the United States. only if its tri or quad band and UNlocked...when u get em from Cingular or whatever theyre locked...but its cheap...u can get ANY phone u want on ebay and unlocked. I recommended to get quad band, they work anywhere in the world just by changing the sim card.

its not really worth it unless you get the internet package. why else would you get it if you arent using the internet or texting. That is what this phone is made for. I would get a Krazr, the rezor are really over rated, and I know that they are usually a little more expensive, but with the technology and emeneties, I would get the Krazr! Depends what kind of razor you are getting. What cell company are you getting it from. I work for at%26t and we have regular v3 razors and then the 3g razors which have a mp3 player built into the phone. The regular razor does not. The krazor has a mp3 player built into the phone. Hope this helps a bit I personally don%26#39;t like the krazr - the screen is just too small! I mean, if you%26#39;re gonna get a camera phone, get one with a bigger screen :)

omg, are you me? It really does depend on who your service provider is which phone has the best performance, I have a personal phone through Cingular (AT%26T) and my work phone is through Verizon. I find that my Krazr for Cingular was far better than the Krazr for Verzion and my Razr for both companies was just ok at best.

First of all, you have to make sure that the music or whatever it was, is not exceeding 198kbps ( bit rate ), then copy the track to the phone%26#39;s memory ( if was V3i ), then go to ringing setting from the menu to set the sounds to soft or loud, then you can just set the desired one to be your ringtone , even you can specify a ringtone for each one in your phonebook , by entering the phonebook , and stop by the name you want , click on list button to specify the ringtone you want to him/her, the esiest way to set the ringtone is to get in the list ( settings ) of the music then apply as ..., you%26#39;ll see it , it%26#39;s easy .

In some instances, if you take the battery and any accessories out of the back and let it air out, you may regain some functionality as normal...but don%26#39;t get your hopes too high. I have heard of two things to do a x phone rep told me to put it in the oven at about 200 degreess for about a hour.. and then another told me to use a hair dryer on my phone. Look on the inside behind your battery and see if there is a pink (or another color) dot if there is remove it that is there to see if you try and return it and have dropped it in water it changes colors and they know its been wet. some have them some don%26#39;t. good luck!!

Then go to the Sons directory/folder. There are many old style ringtones. Check out the Vrai-telephone-1, Vrai-telephone-2, Vrai-telephone-3 ringtones (scroll down once you are in the folder). They are Matrix phone type (the phone ring before they get out of the Matrix and back on the ship) ringers. i think Nokia has it by default. if you don%26#39;t have a Nokia, ask a friend who has it then use your phone recorder to record the sound. after recording, set the recorded track as your ring tone. i%26#39;ve gotten some really cool ringtones at this homepage Click on this to play it to be sure it is what you want.

OK so I have a T-mobile to go (prepaid) Razr V3. I want to upgrade to the sidekick 3(It%26#39;s awesome!) but I don%26#39;t really know about the monthly plan and all that. So is there a way to get a sidekick and keep my monthly plan at about $45 or even as low as you can with the sidekick data plan and SOME minutes(I do NOT need 1000). Remember if there is a way then I%26#39;ll take it, BE CHEAP, as long as its under $45 a month i get the sidekick :). And is there a way i can transfer my phone number to the sidekick. (I think i still have a few minutes on my razr if anybody knows what will happen to them or if they can me saved)

Okay, let%26#39;s break it down.
If you wanted to go to a monthly plan, you easily could with the Sidekick 3. If you got the lowest number of minutes (In my area, it is 300 minutes with unlimited WEEKENDS), you could get it for $50 without tax. This would include the Sidekick Unlimited service, which is $20/extra a month. So really, you are looking at about $60/month with tax, MAYBE. I%26#39;m not quite sure, because that isn%26#39;t what I do. Also remember, there is an activation fee, and depending on how long you sign the contract for can affect the price of the phone.
If you want a prepaid Sidekick, it would take a lot of money to do so. You would need $399 (without tax) for the phone itself. Every day, regardless of whether you use it or not, T-Mobile will deduct $1 a day for the Sidekick Unlimited service, plus charge you 15￠ a minute for calls. So as a monthly thing, putting $45 dollars on a prepaid account every month would give you 30-31 days of Sidekick usage AVERAGED, and 90-100 minutes per month in calling. In February, it would be around 28 days of sidekick usage (obviously) and about 113 minute to be used for calls. Also, remember that having a prepaid account gives you an emulated "Rollover" idea - if you don%26#39;t use all of your minutes, you have more for next month!

The cost of this would depend on the particular plan that you have with your carrier. To give you a rough idea let me to some math with average numbers for you.
What you have here is 419,291 bytes transferred which is 409.5 kilobytes. This isn%26#39;t a tremendous amount, but it will be felt on the average bill. As an example Verizon charges two cents per kilobyte so that would make your 409.5 kilobytes cost $8.19. Certainly not a bank breaker, but also surprisingly expensive for such a small amount of data.
That two cents a kilobyte figure is fairly common across most carrier, but you should check with your provider to see if you have any data included with your plan and how much it is per kilobyte for overages.

I have been reading reviews that the orange branded prada phones have problems that when you are on the phone and it asks you for example "press one to check your minutes" that you can%26#39;t get the keypad up so I wondered if anybody had one and could offer some advice

i just got a top-up on orange, i called the number and entered the code.. i then called my voicemall as i had 3 new messages.. i listened to them and then i tried to text someone and it said i had no credit.. so i waited a while, and it still said i had no credit, i tried calling my house phone to see if calling worked, and it did.. why can%26#39;t i text? I think if you enter the code wrong to often it locks it, so think you should call or visit Orange and ask them. 00000000 thats what my orange password was. contact the manufactur of the phone they should be able to give you the code for factory reset right go to manufacturer When you press reset, it would have gone to factory settings ooooopppppsssss

i would be careful..usually Orange would advertise this sort of offer on tv, and i havnt heard of it..Besides which I dont think Orange would charge you for texts for special offers Personally I would be inclined to think it is a hoax. Normally Orange start their message with something like "Hi from Orange...Or Message from Orange" and shows up as orange instead of a number.

Have left 2 messages on a friends voicemail. She says there is no icon to say she has a vm message and she can%26#39;t dial the mailbox.

I ordered a phone and new activation online on monday the 18th, it read that with that I would recieve free overnight delivery. Sorry, but you can only use Cricket%26#39;s phones with their service. They are a CDMA provider(which doesn%26#39;t use sim cards), so they activate phones by the ESN numbers, and if the ESN number is not in their database, they will not activate it. GSM phones are out of the question, since they require a sim card in order to work. i think they have the razor pophone i have one but i have cingular

Try nail polish - it will probably look really stupid, but at least its cheap, and u can remove it. Why don%26#39;t you just get a cover. They come in different colors and designs. It%26#39;ll look 10 times worse then what it looks like now if you paint it, the paint will be noticable and streaky, i tried it along time ago and regreted it. Get a casing or cover. I don%26#39;t know if repainting is a good idea or if it would even hold. Can%26#39;t you just get a cover? try to change a new cover for your cell phone.. try crafters paint or krylon i believ its called

If it was lost, most likely the person who owns it reported as lost or stolen. If that%26#39;s the case, the carrier would%26#39;ve blocked the phone from being activated to anyone else.
Your best bet would be to call up the service provider and give them the ESN so they can track down the owner.
It%26#39;s not your phone. if it was a cingular treo you could use it for cingular but verizon and sprint use ESN codes so most likely you wont be able to use it due to probibly it was reported lost but call sprint and try it never hurts to try

Im in fifth grade and my parents won%26#39;t let me get a cell. Not even a smei-cell like a Firefly or a Migo! I have tried to talk it over with my parents but they just keep saying no! Well I think that I was around the age of 11 or 12 when I got my first cell phone. And when you talk about it with your parents maybe suggest getting a plan that doesn%26#39;t have alot of minutes with it. Or maybe suggest getting a pre-paid phone. And maybe try doing stuff around the house. And talk to then about how you can be responsible. quit winning ur in the fifth grade, wat till u get into high school or junior high at least. u parents might not trust u yet. i did%26#39;nt get a phone till the end of 8th. grade We got through school just fine without cell phones. You can, too. I didn%26#39;t get one until I was 18 years old and in college, and I paid for it myself. i got mine when i was 12.

I have had very good luck with my Virgin Mobile Phone, it is very reasonably priced for someone that uses a cellphone on an occasional basis. I have T-Mobile pay as you go, and its pretty good w/ some cool phones that they provide. I have trac fone I love it I just buy the card every so often and add to it on-line the phone was only $14 at walmart you could always buy a new phone from the verizon Inpulse section and transfer your minutes and number over to it. that%26#39;s a few simple programming steps and a ten minute phone call. No reason to loose what you already bought.
