Parents wont let me get a cell?

Im in fifth grade and my parents won%26#39;t let me get a cell. Not even a smei-cell like a Firefly or a Migo! I have tried to talk it over with my parents but they just keep saying no! Do you have any advice on how to convince them to let me have one? And if you have any cellphone suggestions they might say yes to please respond.

Well I think that I was around the age of 11 or 12 when I got my first cell phone. And when you talk about it with your parents maybe suggest getting a plan that doesn%26#39;t have alot of minutes with it. Or maybe suggest getting a pre-paid phone. And maybe try doing stuff around the house. And talk to then about how you can be responsible. quit winning ur in the fifth grade, wat till u get into high school or junior high at least. u parents might not trust u yet. i did%26#39;nt get a phone till the end of 8th. grade We got through school just fine without cell phones. You can, too. I didn%26#39;t get one until I was 18 years old and in college, and I paid for it myself. i got mine when i was 12.

and my brother got it when he turned 10.

a couple of years ago when i was 12. i told my parents that if i do get lost or if anything happens to me i wouldnt be able to keep in touch with em.

so i told em that i needed it 4 emergencies like that. and they got it for me. and they bought my brother one when he turned 10 because of the same reason. I think the only cell phone appropriate for you is the Migo, why don%26#39;t you tell them that if you get lost, they can call you, and also that you are allowed to put in only 4 numbers plus and emergency # which you can call or answer, its safe and if you get lost they can call you or vice versa...
