I am interested in getting an AT%26T/Cingular phone, and I really like the LG CU500v. But I really don%26#39;t want to have to worry about accidently clicking that button and spending $10 a min.

REAL EASY! Call AT%26T and ask to put the parental locks on your phone to block the internet services. If you ever do want to use the internet (to get ringtones, files, email or AIM), just call them back to remove the block on internet. Just got the same phone and had the same issue, and this is what I did... So far so good!!
BTW you can download ringtones as small mp3 files with low bit-rate via bluetooth using a wave editor like Nero. (just remove ID3 tag information before downloading to phone) No problem with the Media Max Bundle. Rates start at $19.95 for 200 messages and unlimited data downloads (mobitv-mobiradio-internet etc) Watching TV does not cost anything beyond the monthly rate charge (unlimited data). After getting a Media Max Bundle plan from AT%26T, just go to applications and click on the mobitv link and purchase the monthly plan from mobitv to start watching tv on your phone. I get 60+ channels of tv on my cu500v and watch it more than I thought I would.
btw...you can%26#39;t accidently bring up mobitv on the phone, it will ask if this is what you want to do.until you purchase the mobitv plan.
