Phone help?

Im 10 months into a 12 month phone contract and last night my phone fell out my pocket as i was cycling and its totally broken.I didnt take out insurance on the phone so my question is,will i be given another phone when i tell my company or will i have to keep paying for the broken one. thanks

Answer:

None of the mobile phone manufacturers cover such user accidental damage within their guarantees, that I know.

Your home insurance may cover damage or loss of personal possessions, away from home etc., so check this.

Otherwise, you may be able to upgrade already, if you really want to stay with your current network. As an alternative, you could use a cheap pay as you go phone, from the same network, or unlocked so that it will work on your network.

There%26#39;s a forum here that shows PAYG mobiles from £9.99:

Or Argos: http://www.argos.co.uk/static/product/pa...

Or Woolworths - Tmobile - http://www.woolworths.co.uk/ww_p2/produc...

These are network locked, so you may need to pay to get them unlocked, £5 to £10 on markets etc.

Love your username.. Good luck! Rob No sorry, its your fault so they wont pay.

You can however put your simcard into another phone and renew in another 2 months.

I wouldn%26#39;t feel bad thought the cost of mobile phone insurance who won%26#39;t be that much out of pocket.

*EDIT*

You carn%26#39;t cancel either as you will have to pay the remaining 2 months anyway. If its still under warrenty than i think you can take it back but because it wasnn%26#39;t a manafactuer fault than you might have to cancel your current contract if your phone provider alows that your problly best to ring your phone provider and ask about it.
