I have a Verizon LG phone and every time I receive a picture message, I go to view it and my phone freezes. I always have to take out the battery to shut it off. How do I view my pictures without my phone freezing?

HURRY! take out the batterie, and leave it out for 1 to 2 days this will keep it form leeking and making the phone unusabel, after that, let the ohone air dry for a while take out the battery and wrap it up in a think towel.
and as for the phone, blow dry it. (sounds silly but worked for me.) then wrap it up in a separate towel as the battery. Rice would most likely not work. One time I was drinking water and it fell on my computer, and I put it outside to dry. What you should do is put your phones, on a table, or something outside, where the sun can reach it. I suggust leaving it about 1-3 hours (depending on how wet it is) on the side with the keypad, and the screen, and another 1-3 hours on the back of the phone. I hope that this has helped! take it apart and put in a warm dry place such as the hot water cupbaord,(not the oven) or try a hairdryer LOL I%26#39;ve never heard anything about rice! I%26#39;ve done the same thing and my phone still works perfect! All I did was took it completely apart! Be careful not to touch the computer part of your phone! Lay it all out separately on a piece of paper towel and let it dry for a few hours. When you take it apart you%26#39;ll be able to see the wet parts, do not try to pat them dry with anything or wipe them down, just lay them there to air dry... after a couple hours put it back together and turn it on... it might act kinda funny the first few hours after that you should be good to go.

you probably have moisture build up, inside of the phone causing corrosion and thus the phone is starting to fail, i would try airing the phone and probably using a blow dry on it for several minutes, if u take out ur battery and their is a red dot on the back of the phone chances are u will need another phone, oops sorry. remove the battey and wait a few minutes then try starting it again This will sound silly, but it is very possible that your phone may have a virus. I know that antivir offers free virus scanning for phones, check them out. Try putting into flash mode...press and hold the * # and power button all at the same time until you see text come up on the screen. If you get the text on the screen, pull the battery out, press the power button three or four times to discharge the phone completely and then try the battery again and hold the power button for 8 seconds or until the blue in the kaypad gives a slight flash dim then bright...good luck! I think you might have used ur phone on a rainy day or may be the place where u live is to humid and the phone has absorbed some moisture through the buttons.

The best way is to take out battery and sim. Than you dry it with a fan. don%26#39;t use hair dryer. Most people don%26#39;t realize that the steam that is produced in the bathroom during a shower acts as water damage and is actually more common then dropping your phone in a puddle or toilet. Take the battery out for about two hours then put it back in. If the trouble continues see your wireless carrier.

Thats because the Memory card you are inserting is haveing a capacity larger than the phone can support! Use a small size memory card and then see if the phone hangs, it souldn%26#39;t.
For eg if you are presently inserting a 512 mb card try inserting a 256 mb or lesser capacity card. If the problem persists then get it checked at a service centre.
Alternately it can be so that you are inserting the wrong type of memory card in it! Check out the manual to see which type of card it supports and make sure you are inserting the similar type. ( I know it sounds foolish and is a rarest case but people do so!)

the delfalt code is not 1234 like the guy answered above because my phone is a verison it was first the last four digits oringally yes i would say the best thing is to call verison or go to a verison store for help from them good luck with your phone If it is Verizon, the default code is always 1234. If that isn%26#39;t it, then you can always take it to the store where you bought it and they can reset the SIM code for you. That happened to me and sometimes they can actually do it over the phone. The number to call should be on your cell phone bill.

If could have a virus but there are other likely problems as well. How many different phones have you tried to send files to? Many phones can not receive files via bluetooth they can only connect to a headset, also some phones require that you bond with the other device before they will accept data from that device.

My phone turns itself off after about 15 minutes. I have to turn it on again and reboot. I have checked the backlight setting (set at 1 Minute) and have the battery power and external power set to the max settings. The battery was at 70% the last time it shut itself down. 2) there is a bad connection btwn the battery and phone.
I would go to wherever you purchased the phone and either get a new one or have them fix it if it is still underneath warranty.

what model nokia do you have?? if its an older model, its probably the phone, not the sim card.

You got your phone originally for reduced cost because you signed a 2 year contract.. Not knowing exactly how many months you have had it I cannot vouch for an upgrade. No penalty to buy new phone but you will pay full price for phone unless you qualify for upgrade. If YOU added insurance to your plan (about extra 5 dollars a month) there usually a 50 or 60 dollar deductible. Yes any Verizon labeled phone, not prepaid and is 911 enabled, can replace your phone. If you get one, call Verizon and request a ESN change. Buy a slightly used one off of craigslist. Thats what i did and got a steal. I got a $360 phone for $100. And the good thing is you can meet the person and see the phone before you buy, unlike ebay. Call up the Verizon help line. There may be some sort of insurance on the phone and it could be free or you could get a credit. You definitely need to call Verizon as most people here won%26#39;t know specifically how to help. just the cost of a new phone. you may have special updates. ask them at the store. Well, call vzw right away so you don%26#39;t get charged for calls the other person makes. See if you have any friends or if you have an old verizon phone. They can probably switch you over to that one for not so much. If you have insurance, it will cost about 60 dollars, at least that%26#39;s what it cost me but it may be more or less depending on what type of phone not sure, but if you don%26#39;t have insurance, you%26#39;ll just have to buy another phone It depends on if you had Verizon%26#39;s phone insurance and how far into your contract you are. You can activate a prepaid phone to your contracted phone number. Some stores can do that, and some stores can%26#39;t do that. You%26#39;re better off calling tech support (1-800-922-0204 option 3) and having them activate the prepaid phone to your account.
That%26#39;s assuming that the prepaid phone is a Verizon phone. You can%26#39;t activate a non-Verizon phone to the Verizon network.
I would also take Juana G%26#39;s advice. Before you do anything, call customer service (1-800-922-0204, option 4 then option 5) and ask them if you have insurance on your phone. If you have insurance, the insurance company will be able to replace whatever phone is activated to your account. If you activate the prepaid phone to your account before calling insurance, then you%26#39;ll get another phone of the same model as your prepaid phone. yea since prepaid doesnt have a contract or anything you wouldnt be breaking any contracts you already had... You can put your sim card from your old phone in the prepaid phone and it would work the same as a post paid phone if that it would you had. It basically applied to prepaid also. Take out the battery, put back in, and turn it back on.
If that doesnt work call Verizon customer service so they can give you a walk through to determine what the problem is?
If that doesnt work, go to a Verizon store and see what an associate can do for you?
If you have insurance, you might be able to get a new phone.

I don%26#39;t know if any of you can help me but my new N73 freezes a lot when i miss a call. Basically, if I miss a call i get a little speech bubble thing in the top right hand corner of the phone and as soon as that happens i cant press any of the number buttons or make calls, send texts etc. The only thing that works is turning my phone off and on again which is irritating in the extreme, especially if i need to call someone in a hurry.
Do any of you have any idea why this is happening/what i can do to stop it?

I have just got an N73 but it will not send text messages. I have changed the message centre to the appropriate vodafone number but it still wont work.
It replies with the message "message failed" about 5 seconds after I have attempted to send a text.

I would recommend the Nokia N93i. Its way better than the 6300. The only area where the 6300 scores above the N93i is that the 6300 is very slim and light. It weighs just 91g. In contrast, the N93i is quite bulky thanjks to the huge rotating screen and keypad.It weighs about 163g. But, once you get the phone, you%26#39;ll get used to the weight and it won%26#39;t be an issue after some time.

Slide the phone open exposing the key pad. Put it at an angle of about 45 degrees to the horizontal and wait for a short time say a minute (might take longer). Make sure you are outdoors and you have a clear view of the sky with no obstructions. The red cross should disappear and when you press "GPS Pos" key the position you are at should be the one shown on the screen.
The red cross means that GPS connection has not been established between phone and satellites. The GPS can take quite a while to pick up the signals from the satellites, also you need to be out in the open air as GPS doesn%26#39;t like obstructions between the receiver and the satellite, just air.

Turn PTT (push to talk) off. This kept happening to my Motorola. It connected every other minute and I couldnt work out why. So I went to the place where I bought it and they said to disactivate the Push To Talk (PTT) Service. And It hasnt happened to me since. Throw it away.wait for iPhone to come out :-D

To fix this you have to reset your phone to factory settings and try to connect again. You are not going to loose your phone book in doing this so don%26#39;t worry. Only the factory settings will be restored. If this does not work then you will have to go for a format of phone where all your data on the phone will be lost permanently. Punch *#7780# on the keypad and if you are prompted to insert lock code then write 12345 which is the default lock code for nokia phones. DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK. I think this should help setting up your phone like new.

The only one that has carryover minutes (rollover) is Cingular and it is a nice feature to have. You can check out the different carrier plans and phone features at the following site. Although Cingular has carryover minutes, getting a strong signal in a partial basement will depend on where you live. I don%26#39;t get a good signal in most offices with my Cingular phone. Verizon probably has a better reception and signal quality but their plans may be more expensive. Either way, you can compare them all here and figure out which one will work best. They also have some great free phones with a new service plan.

You will probably have literally thousands to choose from, but I would recommend a Samsung phone over other brands because they have always worked well for me. I have a razor I bought online on E Bay. That matches all the things you are looking for, they get allot of complaints but any problem I have had with mine is something that was my fault. The phone your aunt has given you is locked to T-Mobile service, you are trying to use it with a Cingular sim. For this phone to work with Cingular, you will have to have the phone unlocked. Once unlocked, the phone will work with any carriers sim.
If you aunt still has T-Mobile service, have her call T-Mobile and request the "subsidy Code" for that phone. This is something you can not do, your aunt will have to do it. She has to tell them she will be traveling overseas and will be using that countrys sim card. They will ask her for the IMEI# of the phone. Once they give her the code, you can unlock it and pop in your Cingular sim.
Other option is to just bring it to a local independent phone shop, ask them to unlock it, cost is about $20.00
Once you have it unlocked, you will be able to call and text, if you want to use it for internet, you will have to change the GPRS settings to Cingular

Well.. it sounds like you still want to continue to use your Cingular service with you new razor. Well you will need to call into Tmobile and ask them to unlock your new phone. If they refuse to, you will need to have your Aunt cal in and ask for it to be unlocked. They will normally only unlock phones for current customers only. Its a tricky situation but it can get resolved as long as your get your phone unlocked. Ring t mobile within 24hrs you will be up running, they will listen to you and give you plenty of help. I will give you a tip.when you ring them, the first message will ask you to press 5 DONT!. The recorded message will ask you to press other numbers DONT! Just press 0 its a shortcut! Good luck!

Most people would choose "To Sim" as this will save it on the tiny card that can be removed from your phone so therefore you can have your contacts transferred to a different phone more easily.
Be aware that many phones have a better PIM (personal information manager) built into the phone that can better organize your contacts.

There isn%26#39;t an actual storage device on your sim it sends everything into the network kinda like how yahoo saves your account name and password. If your phone gets damaged or you switch phones your numbers won%26#39;t be lost. Unless of course you switch to a CDMA phone. There really isnt an up side to saving it to your phone. basically any number thats really important save to your sim. To phone will store the numbers in the actual phone itself. To SIM will store them in a removable card that could eventually be put into a different phone. That is the only advantage, that it can be removed and put in a different phone. This is not much of an advantage because the phone store guys can transfer your numbers to a new phone anyway. I ran out of space on my phone and had to use the card, but storing them in either place is pretty much the same.

The actual manufacturers send the Verizon stores a "dummy" phone about a week or two before the stores are actually permitted to release the model. The employees are usually kept pretty well up to date, so I would call a store and talk to one of the sales reps.

There%26#39;s not really a hot season for phone releases, but a new one usually comes out every month or so. Sometimes around the hollidays (Christmas and Valentine%26#39;s Day in particular), more than one model with be open to the public.

How do I get out of a nextel contract. I bought a new phone about a year ago and they tell me that started a new contract. I don%26#39;t remember agreeing to a neww contact and I didn%26#39;t sign anything. Can I get out of this?
I work for Nextel and the only way to get out of the contract is paying a $200 early termination fee. When ever you upgrade or purchase a new phone at a discount price, your agreeing to extend your service. If you buy a phone at full price, which is the total retail price there is no penalties. You must have got it a sale price. You can call customer care at 18885666111 if you want to opt out of your contract, but they will try to bargain with you until you say you%26#39;ll stay, but if you choose to cancel the will stop the billing cycle today, charge you for your current usage and on your next bill will be the $200 termination fee. Hope that helps... All cel phone companies tell you they will give you the great deal on a new phone with a 1-2 year agreement. Usually costs 150-175 to get out of the contract. Sorry hate to give bad news ok i have done about 1000 ports already from nextel to sprint. you can get out of your contract that way with no term fee or act fee. you get better coverage and more options on your phone with new phone pricing. something i would recommend

They always say you are to turn them off in these places. Check the router%26#39;s DHCP client settings/list and see if IP addresses are assigned automatically. In short, has the router assigned an IP address to the N95? The default lock code for Nokia is 12345 or 00000 or 0000.
If the phone asks for a security code and if the default code doesn%26#39;t work, there is a master override code that will access it. Use this website-

Or else, if your phone is under warranty ,just bring back to the dealer where you purchased it or find the local dealer and give them the papers which identify that you are the owner of the phone. They will be able to unlock it. The worst case may be that they will have to flash a new firmware on the phone which will delete everthing in the phones memory.
