Phone help?

my dad found a verison phone on the floor a three weeks ago

we tried callin ppl on the phonebook

leaving messages but no one called back

i have a cingular fone.

is it possible to put my sim card in it %26 continue my plan w. that fone?

I doubt it. My daughter had a cingular phone with us and then got a new verizon phone (the razr) after she moved. She noticed that her sim card would fit in the RAZR so tried to put it in there and ended up having to get a new RAZR. There maybe a way to unlock it but I am unsure how to do that, sorry. Verizon phones do NOT use sim cards, it works on completly different technology.

Bring the phone into a Verizon store, Verizon will be able to lookup the owner of the phone and return it.

The phone is worthless, it will only work for Verizon service and I am sure by now the phone has been blocked. Again, just drop it off at a Verizon store, I am sure the owner will be happy Unfortunately no.

Cingular uses a GSM network while Verizon uses CDMA. These networks are incompatible.

Sorry. please get in touch with some one from there phone book.like home or mum,as for ure sim,it might work,then your sim will be locked of,do not use it
