Phone Problem (Samsung)?

My neck is on the line if I don%26#39;t sort this problem out. My phone is the Samsung D840 ( a slide phone). It%26#39;s been in my bag for a couple of days, out of charge. I got it out today to put it on charge but the screen won%26#39;t work, these lines have all come up. I%26#39;ve put it on charge and tried to turn it on but nothing comes up except these lines. (Nothing%26#39;s leaked in my bag or anything, so it%26#39;s not water.) Does anyone have any ideas about what might be wrong with it and advice for what I should do? It cost £150...:-S

Answer:

Oh Dear ! :( if its new can u get a replacement? these kinda probs arnt going to be fixed by yourself unless you know what is wrong with it. 1st check if u can take it back where you got it from, if not then go to a repair shop see how much it wll cost to fix. failing that. a new phone for you!! Try doing a hard reset. Turn the phone off. Remove the battery...wait 15 seconds. Put the battery back in...try again. If it still isn%26#39;t working call your cell phone company...they can troubleshoot with you. turn the phone off n leave it on chrage like for a day n then turn it back on...dat shud work or look in ur phone manual for a unfreeze or rest phone button.n if all else fails call cingular n ask them for help they shud be able to replaceor help u wit ur phone jus say u like barley bought it. My daughter had a samsung that did similar and if you bang it hard, battery face down on a hard surface it may come back to life. We used to do this a few times a week. it may be the battery , i had a motorola and left that for a few days. it eventually drained itself and would nolonger re-charge,i had to get a new battery. I would suggest that you contact Samsung Customer Support on 0870 726 7864 and get your phone booked in for repair.
