go to multimedia then sounds then select the song u want to apply as ringtone then go to sounds menu and then apply as as ring tone

or

go to settings-ring styles- and then change the deatils of that styles and then u can apply the music you transfered as ring tone!!

of course they do allow mp3 as ringtone i got same phone motorzr v3

just explore your phone it has alot of cool stuff in there I don%26#39;t think you can I%26#39;m not sure, i have a w810i and i have the same problem, but i think some phones don%26#39;t allow .mp3 files as ring tones, they only allow the ones that are in polyphonic format, which is usually the 30 sec ones you have to buy. Well good luck with that. Here%26#39;s what I do. I send the song to my phone by e-mail, and then the options allow me to save as ringtone. You could try that. see ur phone%26#39;s user guide..... First of all, you have to make sure that the music or whatever it was, is not exceeding 198kbps ( bit rate ), then copy the track to the phone%26#39;s memory ( if was V3i ), then go to ringing setting from the menu to set the sounds to soft or loud, then you can just set the desired one to be your ringtone , even you can specify a ringtone for each one in your phonebook , by entering the phonebook , and stop by the name you want , click on list button to specify the ringtone you want to him/her, the esiest way to set the ringtone is to get in the list ( settings ) of the music then apply as ..., you%26#39;ll see it , it%26#39;s easy .
