Nokia N70 stolen, can It be found by IMEI number?

I lost my Nokia N70 phone today morning.

Can it be found using the Imie number of the cell?

IMEI = 357863016364099

Last number used = 9890091129

I live in pune. Whom should I contact %26 what are the chance of finding it?

The network operator can trace a phone based on IMEI, but unless the phone is associated with a serious crime, they won%26#39;t do this. If you report the phone stolen, the IMEI will be blacklisted on all networks in your country ya chances of finding the phone are slim, but u can contact ya service provider and tell them the imei number on the phone and tell them it was lost or stolen and they can have the phone locked or traced where no calls will be made and they will never be able to use it No chance. You cannot find a phone based on an imei. Sorry Atleast give your IMEI no. to the authorities so that they can stop all call communications.. and simultaneously give advertisement at the place you lost your phone ...like, you shall reward the culprit with a little amount with privacy and security ensured..

See it may work for, the phone will be of no use for the culprit and hence the person would be enticed or say bound to return you the cell in the greed of money..

generally u need to send ur emei no to all the operators in india and then they figure out the no currently being used in that particular emei cellphone and then the user`s address is found etc... this is a long and tiresome process so generally the service providers dont do all these for a stolen cell unless its related to something big!
