Razor phone?

How can I change the tone for my text messages. I just got this phone and not sure what all it can do and how to do the easy things.

-scrool down to text messages, select

-select tone and save i got rid of my razor but i do believe if u go under the settings and tools and hit sounds settings then alert sounds then text message then u can change it. You have to change it by contact anyways you go to contacts and then edit contact and go down and there will be txtmessage/flxmessage ring tone change and you click on it and there change it to what u want! click the middle button of the top three buttons and you should see nine little pictures. Go to the one that says %26#39;Settings%26#39; and select that one. Then choose Audio and change the "Ring Detail%26#39;. Under the category of %26#39;Messaging%26#39; you select it and then change it to the ringtone you want. In the main menu, select SETTINGS.

Then, select RING STYLES.

Then select %26lt;Style Name%26gt; DETAILS, where %26lt;Style Name%26gt; is Soft, Loud, Vibrate, etc.

Next, Select INBOX and select the tone you want to use.

If you have caller ID enabled, you can select a different tone for each person in your contact list.

To do this, go to your CONTACTS through the MAIN MENU.

Scroll through the list until you find the name of the person you wish to change the tone for. Select OPTIONS, then select EDIT. Scroll down to RINGER ID, and select the tone you want. When you are back to the ENTRY DETAILS view, make sure you click DONE to save the changes (the left %26#39;soft%26#39; key -- the left key with the -).

Your Razr might be a different version than mine, so the steps might be a little bit different. Mmmm..k. People, not all RAZR has the same setup. You have to cosinder the model of the phone. Is it a RAZR v3? v3c? v3m? etc.. Also, what%26#39;s the serivce? Sprint? Verizon? Cingular? I know that SOME Verizon RAZR does not have that option of customizing the text messaging tone, while on the other hand sprint does. Give us little more info on the phone...
