I%26#39;m getting the new iPhone with Cingular next month. Cingular is my current carrier so I don%26#39;t know what I should do since you need to get a 2 yr contract with them in order to get the iPhone. But I already have a contract. What should I do? Thanx in advance.
Answer:
It all depends on how much time you have left with Cingular. For me, when I had about 3 months left on the contract, they let me get a new cell phone (and a month later they announce the iPhone, great!) You can still purchase the iPhone without a contract, but it%26#39;s going to be much more expensive than it already is. well. if you want you can call cingular and tell them you want to buy a new contract with the iphone and if you can cancel yours for nfree or a cheaper price. it might work but if it doesnt your gonna have to cancel your current plan that can cost up to 300 dollars depending on how much time you have left on you plan well, you have two options. one is to buy out the remainder of your current contract for ever how much their early termination fee is, usually $175 to $250. then you could sign up for a new contract and get the reduced price on the phone. the other option you have is to buy the iphone for full retail price which im sure wont be cheap.
