do a quick search on "verizon disable features" and be surprised by all the articles you find, even lawsuits against the company, for disabling basic phone features so that you have to go through their service for pictures, ringtones, etc. what are your thoughts?

Verizon is the most pathetic co. that I have ever had the misfortune to have to deal with. I have land line service with them and they are insanely pathetic when it comes to customer service. The Gov. should step in and straighten this mess up cause they are ripping off the public with their obnoxious attitude toward their customers. I have 3 different bill%26#39;s that came 3 days apart and there is 3 different amounts on all of them. This co. is so screwed up it%26#39;s a dam- shame that the American public should have to put up with this shi-. Now to beat all they have bought out my cell phone provider service and screwed it up too, they changed the service to a downgrade and gave us a higher rate for less service .PATHETIC., I am beginning to think we should go back to C.B.s and walky talkies and tell them to kiss my a--. Wow! Never heard of that. Anyway, they%26#39;re still the #1 cell phone provider in the U.S., so I don%26#39;t care. No, I wasn%26#39;t paid to say that So, what%26#39;s taking you so long to switch? If VZW is such a sucky outfit to deal with, why not go to Sprint, AT%26T, or T-Mobile? They%26#39;d be more than happy to take your money.
As for me, I prefer VZW because I like their nationwide coverage and service, and I don%26#39;t care to clutter my cellphone so I don%26#39;t see only being able to use VCast as an issue. Verizon does things in such a way that it is legal almost. They do it on purpose and they know that they can get away with it. With every chance they get they will scam you or charge you or get your money one way or another. I have cingular(AT%26T) and love it. Alltel is also a good company. I would go with one of those two.
