Prob w/ Cingular/AT&T cell phone?

Has anyone had this problem...you call a Cingular/AT%26T cell phone customer and after one or two rings, it dumps you into the person%26#39;s voicemail and tells you that person is on the phone (even when they%26#39;re not)? Is this a form of call screening or call block by Cingular Wireless? Just curious...

Answer:

I have been having the same problem ever since they decided they were going to become AT%26T. My friends will call me and it will tell them that I am not accepting calls at this time, or it gives them a busy signal, or it puts them straight to my voicemail. Sometimes my phone won%26#39;t even work and the calls do not go through.

I think it has something to do with the conversion of the system. It is not a form of call screening or blocking by Cingular but it very well could be form of call sreening/blocking by the person you are calling.

A couple of reasons this might happen, the person you called presses reject, this will dump you into the voice mail or the person you are calling is in an area where their phone signal is weak so the call goes to voicemail

Cheers I was having that problem as a Cingular/AT%26T customer It would actually dump my call into voice mail as I was answering it. Grrrrrrr! That wasn%26#39;t the only problem I had with the service over a long period of time. I no longer have Cingular (by choice).
