Prepaid international roaming?

Are there any providers in the US or Canada that allow prepaid international roaming (the ability the make and receive calls using your US cellphone prepaid network outside the US).

So far I%26#39;ve not been able to find one on prepaid, does any provide that allows this exist?

Thanks.

Answer:

Hello

I do not know of any U.S pre-pay providers that offer International roaming but if there are any, I am sure the cost will be VERY high and not worth it

If the reason for your question is because you will be travelling internationally and want a phone, then here is a couple of sugestions.

The following is a solution for making cheap calls while abroad and getting free incoming calls

1) Purchase a cheap Unlocked GSM Quadband cell phone before you leave

2) Order a Global sim card like the one below before you leave

Again, this will give you FREE incoming calls in most countrys you are traveling in and cheap outgoing calls from whatever country you are in

You will have your phone number before you leave so you can give it to your family and friends

If you will just visiting one country, you can do the above and just purchase a sim for that single country

Cheers Yes, GSM network phones (e.g. T-Mobile) will work overseas. If you are going to make/receive a lot of calls, it would be cheaper to buy a prepaid phone in the destination country.

You need to check your phone supports 900MHz or 1800MHz bands
