So my parents finally agreed that I need a phone (I am 17 years old/Senior in Highschool).
Unfortunately, they don%26#39;t want me on a plan, they want me to have a prepaid phone. Can you please tell me what the best ones are??!
Basically, if I were to get a plan, I%26#39;d go with Metro.
I have a lot of friends, so I know they%26#39;ll be calling me a lot even if I don%26#39;t call n e one.
Which one has the best rates on minutes?
Which service offers the best types of prepaid phones (pictures/text messaging yada yada). and no I cannot afford to by a $300 phone, so which ones have all of these great qualities but for a reasonable price!?
Answer:
the pre-pay often you pay more then you would you have a plan. i live in utah and there is a company called cricket here with cricket you have unlimted everything and no contract. you pay like 40 a month something like that. i dont have them because the covergae is only good for about half of the state. but many teenagers have this company so if there is company like that where you live it might be best to go with them. you will save a lot money. I think your parents are missing the point of you having a cell phone.
Prepaid cell phone are not really for the purpose of talking alot. They are VERY VERY expensive, when comes to minute of use.
Those kind of cellphones are for emergency phone, etc.
For a teenage, the best way to go is a low monthly rate phone, with some kind of free minutes (most of the cellphone comes free with a contract of so and so years)
Still, if going with a pre-paid plan, I%26#39;d go with Tracfone since it the least expensive one, and has a rollover.
Keep in mind, you%26#39;ll have to charge your pre-paid at least once a month, which eventualy cost you (or your parents) about 10$ a month for 50 minutes (accumulating) each month.
